The world’s eyes will once again be on İzmir

Marble İzmir – International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair, one of the world’s largest natural stone fairs and the global showcase of Turkish natural stone, will open its doors for the 31st time at Fuar İzmir between April 14–17, 2026.

İzmir is once again becoming the global hub of the natural stone industry. Marble İzmir – International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair is preparing to welcome industry professionals for the 31st time at Fuar İzmir from April 14 to 17, 2026. With its strong exhibitor profile, diverse visitor base, and vast exhibition area showcasing a wide range of products, the fair continues to take the pulse of the industry and aims to further enhance international engagement in 2026.

Collaboration with the Italian Marble Machinery Manufacturers Confederation Comes to Life

Having welcomed more than a thousand exhibitors last year from Türkiye as well as many countries including Italy, the United States, France, Germany, China, South Korea, India, and the United Arab Emirates, along with tens of thousands of visitors from over 100 countries, Marble İzmir is signing an important collaboration this year as well. Through an agreement with the Italian Marble Machinery Manufacturers Confederation, one of the strongest representatives of Italy’s natural stone and stone-processing machinery sector, Marble İzmir Fair will further strengthen its international cooperation.

In the process leading up to this collaboration, Flavio Marabelli, Honorary President of the Italian Marble Machinery Manufacturers Confederation who has played an active role for many years in representing the Italian natural stone sector internationally visited İzmir in recent months and held meetings regarding Marble İzmir Fair. During his visit, Marabelli met with İZFAŞ General Manager Tuğçe Cumalıoğlu, İZFAŞ executives, and Hanifi Şimşek, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Marble, Natural Stone and Machinery Producers Association (TÜMMER), along with Deputy Chairman Mehmet Serter, conducting discussions that laid the groundwork for the cooperation agreement signed thereafter.

New Business Opportunities to Emerge

It was stated that the contacts initiated during the 30th Marble İzmir laid the groundwork for the cooperation agreement implemented between the Italian Marble Machinery Manufacturers Confederation and Marble İzmir. With this agreement, the aim is to increase the presence of Italian companies at Marble İzmir, strengthen the fair’s position in the European market, and further develop cooperation between Türkiye and Italy in the natural stone and machinery sectors. The process is expected to create new business opportunities for companies in both countries by bringing together Türkiye’s strong production infrastructure with Italy’s expertise in technology and processing.

Efforts Continue Around the World

Promotional, networking, and cooperation activities aimed at increasing international participation and visitor numbers are also continuing intensively. As part of these efforts carried out across different markets worldwide, the goal is to enhance Marble İzmir’s international visibility and boost professional interest in the fair. Companies from a wide range of countries including Italy, the United States, India, China, Iran, Portugal, and Poland are expected to participate in the fair.

An International Brand with Over 30 Years of History

Launched in 1995 with 47 exhibitors and 4,719 visitors, Marble İzmir has grown into a major international event today, hosting more than a thousand exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors from over 100 countries across a 150,000-square-meter exhibition area. In addition to natural stone, the fair brings together advanced processing technologies, sustainable mining practices, and design trends on a single platform.

Hosted Buyer Delegations, B2B Meetings, and Design Competition

In 2026, buyer delegations from various countries around the world will once again visit İzmir as part of Marble İzmir. B2B meetings held during the fair will offer participating companies opportunities to enter new markets and expand their exports. The fair will also host the 8th International Different Natural Stone Design Competition, aiming to introduce young designers to the sector and bring an innovative vision to natural stone.

A Strategic Role in Türkiye’s Natural Stone Exports

While natural stone exports stood at USD 70 million in the year the fair was first launched, today they have reached the level of USD 2 billion. Playing a key role in Türkiye’s natural stone exports, Marble İzmir continues to serve as a strategic trade gateway to the markets of China, India, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. With growing international participation and collaborations each year, the fair aims in its 31st year to continue carrying the global strength of the sector from İzmir to the world.
