Raif Türk’s Name to Be Honored at fuarizmir
Raif Türk, an esteemed figure in the Turkish natural stone industry, left a lasting impact through his work and significant contributions to the Marble İzmir International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair. To honor his legacy, the name of the Honorary President of the Association of All Marble Natural Stone and Machinery Manufacturers (TÜMMER) and businessman, who passed away in October last year, has been given to a square at fuarizmir.
A ceremony was held to mark the naming of the square in Raif Türk’s honor, attended by his family, industry representatives, and İZFAŞ officials. During the event,Yıldız Türk, Raif Türk’s wife, expressed her gratitude, saying:
"My husband left us a proud legacy with his name, his work, and his humanitarian values. I would like to thank the Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, the General Manager of İZFAŞ, TÜMMER, and all industry representatives for this meaningful gesture of loyalty."
His brother, Refik Türk, shared his emotions:
"Hearing the echo of Raif Türk’s hammer stroke on stone being commemorated in this square is a great source of pride for us. We sincerely thank everyone who has shown this remarkable gesture of appreciation."
İZFAŞ General Manager highlighted Raif Türk’s major contributions to the natural stone industry and to the Marble İzmir Fair, stating:

TÜMMER Chairman of the Board, Hanifi Şimşek, shared his sentiments, saying:

I deeply appreciate the Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, the General Manager of İZFAŞ, TÜMMER board members, and all esteemed leaders for ensuring his name is honored in this square. Additionally, Deputy General Manager of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA), Abdulkerim Aydındağ, İbrahim Halil Kırşan, President of the Turkish Miners Association, Ali Emiroğlu, President of the Mining Industry Employers’ Union, Naci İlci, Former Chairman of the Istanbul Mineral Exporters' Association, Aydın Dinçer, and Former Chairman of the Aegean Mine Exporters' Association, Mevlüt Kaya, delivered speeches emphasizing Raif Türk’s invaluable contributions to the industry and his generous, compassionate nature.
